Muskegon Branch NAACP Host Community-Wide Workshop: “And Justice For All”
Sanford, Florida is not the only place where issues of violence, discrimination, injustice, racial profiling and murders are happening. There are many Trayvon Martin’s right here in community, county and state. However, together we can ensure that all of our sons and daughters wake up and feel safe.
The Muskegon Branch NAACP will host a community workshop entitled: “And Justice For All” on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Mount Olive Baptist Church, 2501 8th Street, Muskegon Heights, MI 49444, from 12 noon-3:00 p.m., Reverend Walter Butts is the Host Pastor.

Various presenters will discuss the following topics:

• Education Not Incarceration
• Cop Stop Intervention Program
• Racial Profiling
• Know Your Civil Rights
• Felons and Their Right To Vote
• The Many Forms of Racism
• Getting a Job and Keeping It
• Violence Prevention and Intervention
• Youth Speak Forum
The Branch is also seeking individuals who are interested in becoming members of the Branch’s Youth Council and Junior Youth Council. Sign-up forms will be available at the event.
Please join us for this event. Free refreshments, literature packets and door prizes will be available.
Note: This is a community workshop; not a rally. Written approval from the NAACP General Counsel and the National President/CEO must be obtained before the Branch can lead, participate in, or endorse a boycott, demonstration, picket, rally or coalition.
